Phoebe Tonkin is gearing up for a visit back home. The 29-year-old will return to Sydney, Australia next week for the premiere of Stan’s new television series, Bloom, a mystery drama about the scarcity of time and the choices we make.

When a freak flood hits a small Australian country town, Bryan Brown (The Light Between Oceans, Red Dog True Blue) plays Ray, a man who discovers a mysterious new plant in his backyard, one that appears to have the power to restore youth. His wife Gwen, played by two time Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook, Animal Kingdom) is suffering from early on-set Alzheimer’s disease and her memory is in rapid decline. With no cure, Reed offers Gwen the plant and her youth is restored (a young Gwen is played by Phoebe Tonkin of The Originals and The Vampire Diaries fame). But like anything, the powerful new drug isn’t without consequences.

The series causes the viewers to question; If you knew your life or memory could end tomorrow, would you take a second chance to go back and re-do parts of your life?

Stan will hold its world premiere of Bloom next Thursday, November 29, in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney, where the cast, including Bryan Brown, Phoebe Tonkin and Ryan Corr, will be joined by a huge line up of Stan’s biggest stars from its original productions.

Bloom will premiere on New Year’s Day exclusively on Stan. Watch the compelling trailer below.
