Debates over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s right to privacy have boiled over in the United Kingdom – and obviously, controversial TV host Piers Morgan is leading the fury.
Good Morning Britain viewers tuned in on Tuesday to see the host screaming that the Duchess of Sussex should “go back to America,” after Meghan’s security detail reportedly asked members of the public not to take photos of her at Wimbledon.
“If you go to Wimbledon in your free tickets in the Royal Box, the best seats in the house for nothing, and you take your two bezzies… you’re public people,” he said.
“If you want to be private, go back to America and live privately.”

When Morgan’s co-host Susanna Reid said she could sympathise with Meghan’s desire for privacy, Morgan roared:
“In the Royal Box at Wimbledon. With the world’s cameras beamed on their heads.
“It’s not a private place. If you want to be private don’t go to the Royal Box at Wimbledon. Honestly, it’s a complete joke. You’ve got to work out what you want to be — do you want to be public or private?
“It’s frankly hypocritical and they’re not private people, they’re the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. We get to pay for their mansion, we get to do all of this.”
Morgan is referring to the recent $4 million renovation of Meghan and Harry’s Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, of which British tax-payers footed the bill.
It follows anger among some royalists that Meghan and Harry have not revealed the identities of Archie’s god parents after his christening last week. The couple decided to keep the information private, despite royals usually sharing such details with the public.
