Identical twins Ami and Aya have been turning heads – and camera lenses – all over the world with their colourful Kawaii style, matching outfits and vibrant pink hair.

The eye-catching duo was regularly spotted in at the Paris and Milan Autumn/Winter 2018 fashion shows – front row, of course, a place reserved for only the most influential. We might know them as style icons in the making, but their rise to the spotlight is definitely not what you’d expect.

The 29-year-old twins made a major career change recently from budding Japanese pop stars to fashion week sensations and style influencers. They got their start with top hits on the Japanese music charts, which lead to a strong Asian following that has continued to grow. They now receive attention from fans and paparazzi all over the globe.

The Tokyo twins are models, DJs, the creative powers of their brand Jouetie and singers known as Amiaya (both their names put together.) By far, one of their biggest modelling moments to date was when they walked for Dolce & Gabbana SS18 alongside other international fashion influencers with an audience of the industry’s most recognisable names.

The talented duo’s Instagram(s) – where they post to their combined following of 256,000 – are visual diaries of their lives and (many!) entrepreneurial endeavours. It’s also a hot-spot for some adorable twinning moments, and of course plenty of style inspiration.

Somehow in between the duo’s crazy schedules, they also find time to run their online clothing store Jouetie. The e-commerce platform stocks a range of cool, colourful pieces that would catch the eyes of any fashion lover.

Ami and Aya won’t be going anywhere soon, so get your phones (and wardrobes) ready for some major style inspiration when the pink-haired twins take on fashion week next.
