Encouraging creatives to do extraordinary things. To pave their own paths. To empower others through fashion. This is the 2019 focus for the just-announced Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) program.
Taking place at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne from March 1 – 10 this season is shaping up to be the most impressive ever. Now in its 23rd year, the Festival will once again be centred on showcasing the best of Australian and international design. Festival CEO Graeme Lewsey said “As Australia’s largest fashion event we are proud to present an opportunity to empower dreaming and bring together our creatively-charged industry for all to see.”
The most respected names in Australian fashion – from design to styling to media – will be collaborating to make this in an event not to be missed. As reported on earlier, GRAZIA and ICON will be presenting a stellar finale show on closing night, Saturday March 9. The party-style event will culminate around a runway show featuring chic streetwear designers Ten Pieces, P.E. Nation, Limb, Sister, Double Rainbouu, Client Liason and Handsom.
VAMFF 2019 will also continue to champion outstanding talent from all facets of Australian creativity, with performances from leading Australian music acts setting as backdrops for many of the runways. Not to mention delicious offerings from Melbourne’s best epicure and, of course, much-anticipated gift bags valued at $100.
