Prince William and Kate Middleton have finally been introduced to their nephew, Archie.

NBC News reports the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Harry, Meghan and their newborn son at Frogmore Cottage overnight, a full week after he was born.

It seems an unusually long time to wait given Harry and Meghan’s home in Windsor is only about an hour away from where Kate and William live in London’s Kensington Palace.

The Cambridges have had some public engagements to keep them busy over the last week; William attended a United for Wildlife meeting in London, meanwhile Kate visited Bletchley Park, Britain’s code-breaking centre during World War II to see a D-Day exhibition.

But still, a week? Nobody wants to believe those rumours of a falling out between Harry and Meghan and William and Kate, but they’ve done nothing to dissuade the public in this instance.

It comes as Harry revealed he now “can’t imagine” his life without baby Archie.

On a visit to the Oxford Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, a member of the public who spoke briefly with Harry told E News! what the Duke of Sussex said to her.

“He said he’s getting used to the baby now and how Archie has fitted into family life. He said he just feels part of the family and he can’t imagine life without his son.”
