Who is your best friend? I have many, I am so lucky to be surrounded by incredibly strong and successful woman who inspire me everyday. I have friends that I have known since I was really young and new friends too that I have met since I have lived in Los Angeles. I really value the feminine spirit and female camaraderie, we really have to stick together and protect each other.

What’s the most fun job you’ve ever done? The New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Week show circuit. It doesn’t get more real than that. I love working face to face with designers: Valentino, Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Riccardo Tisci. It’s really where the magic in fashion stems from, and the best part is you get to do it with your mates.

What was most terrifying job? Working with Terry Richardson. He is so unpredictable.

What’s your biggest extravagance? Jewellery. I love investing in jewellery. And property. I wouldn’t say that I am the type to buy material things, but I do love a good investment, and these two are greatly justified in my mind.

Who or what’s your type? My man and my baby. Couldn’t get closer to my type. I really love moonlit balmy nights and home cooking.

Who do you miss the most when travelling? I miss my husband [Gary Clark Junior]. He is a very very successful musician and went from touring a lot to touring every day for the past six years. I miss him so much, its so hard, but we do what we can to stay together and have made it work so far.

What’s your best long-haul travel tip? Drink lots of water, spray a hydrating mist regularly on your skin and something with hyaluronic acid in it is very important. Sleep and watch funny movies.

What’s the biggest misconception about you? I don’t eat. I eat twice as much as anyone I know. I really love food so much, I love cooking it, I love watching people cook it and I LOVE eating it. I m a foodie, through and through.

WHO WOULD BE IN YOUR CURRENT GIRL GANG? Donald Trump. I think he might enjoy the insight.

Best pick up line you’ve ever heard? A builder once yelled at me, “Damn, you a tall glass of water and I’m thirsty” while I was walking past a construction site in NYC. I couldn’t help but burst out in laughter.

WHAT FROM YOUR PAST WOULD YOU LOVE TO DELETE FROM THE INTERNET? Early tests and photo shoots. I think the internet and Google images came out when I started modelling. It horrifies me to see what is on there. I wish I had more control over what people put out of me, being a model is being a blank canvas and you don’t always like what you are made to look like. Its the only downside, in some cases. The rest is roses.

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO BE IN THE WORLD? In love, running in the rain with it bucketing down, somewhere warm and tropical, like Mexico.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t a model? I wanted to be a lawyer. I love to debate. I love proving a point and problem solving. I also love family and fighting for love and female rights. I think I would have gone into family law.

WHAT COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT? Kisses from my baby.

WHEN’S THE LAST TIME YOU WERE SHOCKED? When I realised I still get scared of the dark at night. I guess I have always been so busy and tired at the end of the day, to just forget that that was ever a thing – and now that I have some quite nights at home alone while Zion is sleeping – it shocked me to think I still might be. I’m sure I will get over it, I hope.

WHAT’S YOUR BEST SELFIE TIP? Don’t take too many. The first one is usually the best and it’s bad for your psyche.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST LIFE LESSON? Be careful with your words. Not everyone shares the same perspective as you and can interpret things in a different way. Also, try to enjoy learning from another’s perspective with acceptance and compassion. It will make you a much smarter human.
