As Thomas Markle Sr continues to discuss daughter Meghan’s private life with the media, Kensington Palace is urgently trying to decide how to handle the situation.

According to The Mirror, palace officials have “held at least three top-level crisis meetings on how to stop [Mr Markle] piling distress on his daughter”.

The insider claims the Duchess of Sussex has “decided to cut him off” for now, but is considering the possibility of calling him and asking him to stop, or sending an intermediary to speak with him.

“The final option would be for Meghan to cut him off completely in the hope he will stop, but the situation is so precarious no one knows when that would be.”

In the months after the royal wedding, Meghan’s dad has given several interviews to the press, the latest of which was particularly hurtful. He claimed he didn’t care if Prince Harry never spoke to him again, and appeared to be trying to guilt Meghan by saying it “might be better for her if I died”.

The saga continues.
