Beauty fans, rejoice. Teasing us with an Insta post (how else?) on her personal and dedicated makeup account @FentyBeauty, ultimate cool-girl Rihanna proudly posted the release date announcement last night. Dropping on 8th September (read: next month), Fenty Beauty will be available worldwide from Sephora, Harvey Nichols as well as directly from the Fenty Beauty website.

The highly anticipated launch has been in the works since 2016, when the pop-princess signed a deal to do a complete makeup collection with the the Kendo division of Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton. Well-regarded in the beauty world, LVMH are already known for producing two beauty powerhouses – Marc Jacobs Beauty and Kat Von D Cosmetics. While our girl Robyn Rihanna Fenty has been keeping her perfectly-painted lips sealed, the CEO of Kendo, David Suliteanu, gave us a taste of what we can expect. “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience,” he said. “We are aiming for the stars.”

Although the 29 year old entertainer has already dabbled in ventures outside of her multi Grammy-winning music career, including perfume, Fenty x Puma and a collab with MAC way back in 2013, we have an inkling this may be one of her most successful projects yet. The style icon and all-round trendsetter sent the beauty world into a spin earlier this year with her neon pink blush-and-highlighter combo at the Met Gala, perhaps hinting at what’s to come.

Our predictions? Staples she (i.e. her makeup team) is known for perfecting – a vibrant or vampy signature lippy, and shine-bright-like-a-diamond highlighter. Speaking of sparkle, we’re keeping our fingers crossed to see some some avant-garde inclusions, too – think glitter and all-things-holographic.
