Six years after ending his marriage to popstar Katy Perry via text message, comedian Russell Brand has dramatically admitted he would be “willing and open for reconciliation” of any kind.

Brand famously split from Perry in December 2011 with the Swish Swish singer telling Voguein an interview in 2013 that while Brand was a very smart man who she was very much in love with when she married him, “let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31 2011”. Ouch.

Brand hit back and cited the relationship didn’t work for “practical reasons” saying it was difficult to spend time with his wife while she was touring the world. But now, in a new interview with GRAZIA U.K., the comedian has hinted he’d be keen to reunite with Perry. “It was a very important and lovely time in my life,” he said. “I don’t regret being married to Katy at all. I have very positive feelings about that whole experience and Katy is an extraordinary woman. I’m willing and open for reconciliation, any kind.”

We wonder how Orlando Bloom would feel about this. Maybe he’ll be holding Perry a little closer tonight.
