For more than a year now, the smartwatch band of choice for fashion circles has been of the double-wrapped cape cod variety. But Hermes now has a challenger in the must-have fashion stakes from sporty-luxe Japanese brand, Sacai.

If you know the label, you’re probably familiar with its edgy aesthetic – haute couture with a street chic twist befitting its founder being an alumni of Comme des Garçons. This first foray into the tech bling realm by Chitose Abe, who worked for eight years under Junya Wantanabe, sees her fuse classic crocodile-embossed leather with industrial-style chain links in either silver or gold with an almost costume jewellery-like effect.

We’re all about online-first here at Grazia Online, but in typically elusive Nippon designer style, the Sacai Apple Watch band went on sale earlier this week at select exclusive stores globally, like Dover Street Market in Ginza and the Sacai store in Tokyo.

But because we care, we’ve found you an online gem Collette, which is currently selling them for Euro$350 (approximately $530 Australian). They also sell the Hermes Apple Watch Band in multiple colours, if you’re the kind of girl who wants it all.
