It was widely reported just yesterday that Scarlett Johansson and her French husband of two years, Romain Dauriac, are very sadly divorcing. “They’ve been separated since the summer,” a source told People. While it’s reportedly been a rocky on-again, off-again relationship, the now ex-couple stepped out last night, arm-in-arm, smiling for the cameras at an art opening in New York City.
In what appears to be one of the happiest splits in Hollywood, friends of Dauriac have reportedly told the tabloid publication his circle of friends didn’t think the couple were meant to be from the very beginning. “I’ve been expecting this for some time. Romain and Scarlett has never made sense to me. They aren’t equals. There’s always been something wrong with this picture.”
Johansson has allegedly hired big guns lawyer Laura Wesser who recently represented Angelina Jolie and Amber Heard in their messy divorce proceedings and strangely/ironically represented the actress’s ex-husband Ryan Reynolds during their split in 2011. Johansson and Dauriac have a two-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy.
