If you’re having a hard time fathoming the confirmed relationship between 34-year-old reality television star Scott Disick and model Sofia Richie, well, so is her father. When the couple outed themselves in public via a picture of a cake on Instagram that read “Congratulations Scott & Sofia” (what exactly we are congratulating them for remains unclear), Lionel Richie had something to say. When asked by US Weekly for his thoughts on the new relationship, he was swift to reply. “Have I been in shock?” he said. “I’m the dad, come on. I’m scared to death, are you kidding me?”
It’s not the first time Disick has dated a teenager. In May, he and 19-year-old actress Bella Thorne began seeing each other after meeting at one of her house parties. Disick invited Thorne to Cannes but after a day and half, she booked a flight home. “I don’t drink, and he really drinks a lot,” she told Complex. “And it just ended up…I just wasn’t down. I was like, ‘I gotta leave.’. I love to go out and have fun, I love to fu**ing dance, but I just don’t party hardcore like that and it was way too much for me. I was like, ‘Woah, this is not the way I live my life, bruh.’” Hmm, we’re sure Lionel will be thrilled to read this testimony.
Disick rose to fame as the partner of Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney who is currently dating 24-year-old Younes Bendjima. Disick and Kardashian co-parent three young children together.
In a recent sit-down interview with Ryan Seacrest, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show, Disick sat next to his ex-girlfriend. When probed if he still hits on Kardashian, she nodded while he remarked, “She’s like the only person I ever loved in my life, I still think she’s cute and stuff.” It was then though that things became awkward.
