Selena Gomez is probably valuing the support of good friends right about now. She had to deal with the very public breakup of her and long time on-off love Justin Bieber in March last year, just a couple of months before he became engaged to Hailey Bieber.

Her new songs Lose You To Love Me and Look At Her Now address their breakup and suggest a Phoenix-like rise from the ashes.

We wonder if good pal Taylor Swift was a shoulder to cry on during this time, as Selena has just made it verrry clear how much she loves Tay-Tay.

Earlier on Monday, Selena posted to her Instagram stories some sexy footage of herself in Skims underwear by Kim Kardashian West. “Legit”, “So freaking comfortable” “@Skims” she wrote.

Later that day, the post was suddenly deleted, replaced by another story, a pic of Selena and Taylor. “My ride or die”. “I would die for this one” she wrote. “Thank you for forever being by my side, you have walked through all of this with me, STAYED and you remind me to be a better human being. I’m by your side for life,” she continued. Them some big words.

The pic shows Taylor and Selena looking casual at home with Taylor holding her pet cat Benjamin Button.

Taylor was likewise full of praise for Selena in her interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1 radio  last week, due to air in full this Wednesday.

Taylor called Selena’s new single Lose You To Love Me “the best thing she’s ever done.”

“She came over, she played me the video. I’m so proud of her. She’s been through so much.”

“I’ve watched so much happen in her life and had a front row seat to so much, and I’m so proud of her. She is such a revelation because now she’s making her best stuff. I am 100 percent convinced this is the best thing she’s done so far.”

It’s unclear whether or not Selena’s hasty removal of her Skims pic was intended as a show of solidarity with Taylor, whose long-running feud with Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye has been well-documented.

Selena was equally effusive with her praise for Taylor in her interview with Lowe, saying “My friends stood by my side when I think they visibly saw me in so much pain. And they didn’t want it for me, but they never stopped loving me.”

Anticipation for Selena’s new album, due to drop in 2020, is sky-high. Along with (potentially) more music dedicated to her time with Justin, we’re betting there’ll be at least one track dedicated to her gal pals.
