Serena Williams is returning to the court five months after giving birth to her first child.

The tennis pro will compete in the Fed Cup – the premier professional international women’s competition –  in the US in February, after welcoming daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian in September last year, ESPN reports.

Here’s hoping Beyonce and Jay-Z will be there to cheer her on.

The last time the 36-year-old took to the court professionally was at the 2017 Australian Open, which she won while eight weeks pregnant with Alexis.

She told Vanity Fair how she made the decision to play despite discovering she was expecting for the first time.

“Oh my God, this can’t be — I’ve got to play a tournament,” she said after taking a pregnancy test that returned a positive result.

“How am I going to play the Australian Open? I had planned on winning Wimbledon this year.”

Williams won the tournament without losing a single set, and announced to the world in April she was pregnant.

What a woman.
