One-shoulder silhouettes have taken over runways, race days and summer soirées this season, thanks to outfit inspiration from fashion bloggers and celebrity stylists around the world.

Embraced for its refined take on the classic off-the-shoulder cut, this décolletage-baring SS18 staple has become a summer party and evening cocktail party favourite.

The rising popularity of mono-strap wares was evident at the Spring Racing Carnivals, with the sexy-chic dress style a popular choice on the fields. Celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson, who is especially renowned for her race-day creations, proved to be a fan of the look, dressing Australian influencers Georgia Love, Rachel Finch and Jessie Murphy in stunning iterations of the design.

International supermodel Elle MacPherson and style influencer Elyse Knowles were also spotted in asymmetric get-ups by the race course, with Knowles wearing the trend twice for the occasion.

Designers have taken a liking to the sleek neckline, crafting flowing maxis, body-con minis and elegant midis featuring the style –  just in time for the end-of-year event season too.

By Johnny, Talulah, Rebecca Vallance and Toni Maticevski are some of the Australian labels you can shop the refreshing SS18 wardrobe addition, while SHEIKE and Forever New are among the more affordable options. No matter your budget, there is a place to shop the trend for you.
