She might appear to not care less about the style status quo, but 18-year-old Sofia Richie – with her edgy, almost androgynous urban aesthetic – has has officially graduated to teen queen of the high fashion world.
The daughter of Lionel Richie stars in the new Spring 2018 campaign for the denim arm of all-American fashion label Tommy Hilfiger thanks in large part, according to the designer, to her famously rebellious spirit.
She appears in the Tommy Jeans images, shot by prodigious 19-year-old Los Angeles photographer Byrant Eslava, alongside that other Hadid, Anwar, and Hilfiger campaign regular Lucky Blue Smith, who starred last season draped around Hailey Baldwin.

“Lucky Blue Smith, Anwar Hadid and Sofia Richie represent the youthful, rebellious spirit at the heart of the campaign, and bring a fresh new edge to the denim classics offered in the collection,” Hilfiger says.
The ‘90s-inspired collection will drop in two stages. The first – centred around the brand’s signature all-American red, white and blue, along with denim, logo waistbands and athletic vibes – was released in Australia, rather appropriately, on July 4.

The second drop, due later in July, sports a washed-out pastel palette and includes the jacket and shorts modelled by Richie below. There’s even a prerequisite cropped tee in the range given it’s the unofficial uniform of the Hollywood twenty-somethings like Kendall Jenner and Anwar’s older siblings, Bella and Gigi.
“Looking back on this era reminds me of some incredible moments – from our first collaborations with musicians and celebrities to our continued passion to celebrate pop culture,” Hilfiger says.
The Tommy Jeans range from Hilfiger Denim is available now from Tommy Hilfiger stores nationwide, and online at The Iconic and Universal Store, starting at $70 for the cropped tee.
