Right now in Hollywood, California, the 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards are underway. As is always the case during awards season, the fashion and beauty moments are coming in thick and fast, but we’re pausing for a moment to appreciate Sophie Turner and her unbelievably long lashes.
The Game of Thrones actress, who often opts for bold beauty moment on the red carpet, worked with makeup artist Georgie Esdell on the look, pairing soft, starlit skin with nude lips, shimmer on the eyes and lashes that went on and on (and on). Her hair – by heavyweight stylist Christian Wood – was blowdried thick and full, with just a soft swish at the ends and (presumably) a lot of texturising spray.
Her outfit is another moment in itself: an electric pink Louis Vuitton satin strapless gown with a thigh-high split, corset-style bodice and belted at the waist. It’s a little Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes: old Hollywood glamour to the highest degree. Turner, who arrived at the red carpet event with husband Joe Jonas, is nominated alongside her GOT cast members for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Either way, she’s a winner to us.
