Excitement over a potential Spice Girls reunion has been building since last week, when Victoria Beckham posted a photo on Instagram of all five members together with their former manager Simon Fuller.

Most Spice Girls fans would be ecstatic if the famous five performed even just once together, but a world tour now looks almost certain after comments made by Victoria Beckham, and some intel from TMZ.

Speaking to The Mirror, Beckham explained why after long resisting the idea of a reunion, she’s changed her mind.

“The Time’s Up and #MeToo movements have shone a light on how powerful we can be when we work together to bring about change,” Posh said.

“That is incredibly inspiring. My career has always focused on empowering and celebrating women, so the momentum that these movements brought only makes me even more determined and passionate in my beliefs.”

Her comments come as TMZ reports that at the meeting with Fuller in London, Victoria, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Melanie C began making plans for a world tour that will begin in the UK before going to the US, and potentially other regions.

The tour would kick off late in the North American summer (August/September).

“The planning is still in the early stages, but everyone is fully committed and the tour is going to happen,” according to TMZ.

Sounds promising.
