In today’s daily dose of fashion nostalgia, the grandma cardigan has made an unexpected return by way of Kendall Jenner.
Grabbing a coffee in West Hollywood, Jenner updated the granny staple with a button-up cardigan in fuzzy peach, which she paired with high-waisted denim jeans, a white Prada bag and white Adidas kicks. But like any neo-nostalgic piece, this cardigan came with a dash of fashion irony; cropped and revealing a teeny-tiny midriff, it revoked its true function of keeping one warm. Serving the purpose of fashion rather than keeping you snug-as-a-bug, the shrunken cardi compounds the case for nanna-dressing, which has already seen a reprise via other nanna-approved pieces like croc purses, corduroy and retro florals.
