For three decades, Sydney-based Affinity Diamonds has created delectable engagement rings for lucky brides-to-be, along with jewellery for high society, red carpet A-listers and even sports stars.

More recently, it’s bedecked Kelly Rowland and Delta Goodrem on The Voice (the latter’s show-stopping 60 karat earrings on this season’s finale show almost stole the show) and appeared on Steven Kahlil’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2017 runway. It even holds the highly-coveted title of jeweller to the NRL (yes, players in the grand final winning team each get diamond-encrusted rings. Who knew!?)

Now, the elite brand has become more accessible than ever. This month it launched its first ever ready-to-wear collection – a range of bold statement earrings – along with an online store that makes shopping simple for customers outside Sydney.

In a savvy move, designer and founder Sam Rahme enlisted celebrity stylist Donny Galella, a long-time friend of the brand, to consult on the Geometic Collection of earrings. The result – 12 stunning sets ranging in price from $600 to $5500, each inspired by a fashion blogger or celebrity known for their fashion cred.

“We’ve always worked closely with stylists and celebrities so we decided to join the two concepts together by bringing to life a fashion-forward collection,” Rahme told GRAZIA. “Even though our primary clientele is those who are getting engaged we found our customers were very reluctant to go to any other jewellers for every day or other special occasion pieces.”

It’s not hard to see how the Geometric Collection got its name. The hand-made collection is full of striking shapes, sweeping curves and sharp angles, complemented by Affinity Diamonds’ trademark bling, each style named after an influencer or celebrity.

The Pia, for example, named after GRAZIA market editor-at-large Pia Muehlenbeck, features black Tahitian pearls at the end of a shoulder-skimming long drop. The Delta, a tribute to Goodrem, resemble modern angel wings in either gold or silver. E News! host Ksenija Lukich, currently an Affinity ambassador, inspired the most affordable earrings, spiraling hoops with a sweet diamond at the centre.

Other namesake influencers include Gritty Pretty founder Eleonore Pendleton, television presenters Carissa Wolford and Teigan Nash, My Empirical Life blogger Tanja Gacic, journalist WAG Pheobe Burgess, Miss Universe alumni Tegan Martin and recently-engaged lawyer Anna Heinrich.

Only one international name, Victoria Beckham, seems an apparent odd woman out, though given The Victoria hoop style is the most expensive and diamond-laden in the range at $5500, it does make some sense.

“We’re very pleased with the collection,” says Rahme. “The designs have been inspired by current trends in high-end fashion. These styles will be a highlight of upcoming Spring/Summer seasons and it’s great that our customers can now purchase them directly from our E-Boutique.”
