After wiping all her social media accounts last week, Taylor Swift has returned to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with one cryptic post.

In the early hours of Tuesday Australian Eastern Time, Swift shared a short clip of what looks like a snake or other reptile’s tail, with no comment.

Taylor has been gearing up for a new music launch for a while now – last year she skipped her pattern of dropping a new album every second year in October/November – so this could be a first glimpse at a new video or album cover soon to come.

The snake-looking tail could be a reference to the feuds Taylor’s had with Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and Calvin Harris – the comments sections of her social media accounts were spammed with snake emojis during the drama.

Could it be a sign she’ll tackle all that beef from 2016 in her new album?

All we know for sure is that we should keep an eye on social media for news on a release date – or a surprise album drop, Beyonce Lemonade style.
