There’s no doubt that you’re already well-versed in the classic formula (that is, your preferred tipple + bubbles2 [soda x sparkling] + garnish) but perhaps you’re in need of a little refresher of the possibilities entailed by this perfect algorithm for summer refreshment, H2O not withstanding.

Enter 1800 Tequila, an unexpected choice, perhaps, for a tall, icy summer spritz, but one perfectly geared for finishing the formula nonetheless. From the cleanest double distilled 1800 Tequila Silver brightened with the juice of a watermelon; to a honey-coloured, oak-aged 1800 Tequila Reposado that finds its foil in the equal parts sweet and tangy pulp of the passionfruit; and the singular taste of 1800 Tequila infused with fresh coconut, giving the spirit enough body to cut through the tang of muddled mint and raspberry, consider your summer spritzing needs sorted with the trio of recipes below.

PULP FRICTION
30ml 1800 Reposado
30ml Passionfruit Pulp
10ml Lemon
15ml Honey

Combine all the ingredients in a glass, stirring well to mix. Top with ice, soda and Prosecco.

TEQUILA AND JUICE
45ml 1800 Silver
40ml Watermelon Juice
15ml Lemon

Combine all the ingredients in a glass, stirring well to mix. Top with ice with dry tonic water.

RASPBERRY BERET
30ml 1800 Coconut
Fresh Raspberry
Mint

Combine all the ingredients in a glass, muddling the fresh raspberries and mint slightly to release their flavours. Top with ice, soda and dry sparkling wine.
