NEW YORK CITY: Every North American summer has a celebrity drama that seems to dominate the headlines. For 2019, it’ll be hard to find a scandal involving famous people to grip the public more than Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s break-up.
While Liam Hemsworth is laying low in Byron Bay with Chris Hemsworth and his family, Miley Cyrus has been on a European rendezvous with Kaitlynn Carter, who is also newly single after splitting from Brody Jenner this month.
As it turns out, Jenner has moved on just as quickly as Carter. According to a report that broke overnight, The Hills star is seeing Victoria’s Secret model Josie Canseco.
TMZ reports that Jenner, 35, and Canseco, 22, met sometime this year at a The Hills: New Beginnings publicity party in New York City. The website reports they’ve been seeing each other frequently and are openly affectionate in front of friends.
Yesterday an insider “close to Miley and Liam” told TMZ the couple worked hard to resolve their issues for months, with the singer pushing for them to attend therapy.
But, according to the source, “He didn’t come close to meeting her half way.”
While the insider insisted to TMZ that Miley and Kaitlynn did not become romantically involved until they’d both split from their respective partners, another source told the New York Post their current rendezvous in Europe has been a long time coming.
According to the second source, the two women have been “hooking up” for “a couple of months” and Carter’s ex Jenner not only knew but was “totally okay with it.”
“It was no secret,” the supposedly well-placed source said.
“Brody is still friends with them. There’s no drama.”
Meanwhile, it’s hard not to feel a little sorry for Liam, who is currently in Byron Bay looking like chopped liver. The poor guy headed out for frozen yoghurt with brother Chris Hemsworth and his kids, and was accosted by a Daily Mail reporter.
While the website claimed Liam said “You don’t understand what it’s like, I don’t want to talk about it mate,” the actor denied that.
In his own words on Instagram, Hemsworth said:
“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets.
“Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.”
