The week that was saw a plethora of glamorous happenings on the ‘gram. From model birthday shoutouts, to the laborious Victoria’s Secret prep (read: tropical pre-show getaways) – we were saving, archiving and screen-shotting to our hearts’ content. Here, a retrospective of the week’s most noteworthy beauty moments.
Golden Barbie’s Ultra Glossy two-tone lip
This is the ultimate in glamour. A sparkly cat-eye makes way for an ultra-lacquered, glossed-up, two-tone lip in cherry and candy, all courtesy of Pat McGrath Labs.
Elyse Knowles’ Streamlined Panda Eye
Everything makeup demigod Max May touches, seems to turn to gold, and this rendition on Elyse Knowles is no exception. A streamlined sooty eye, the high-voltage is only further amped by a nude base and lip.
Irina and Lily’s aquatic eyes
It may be a throwback to honour Aldridge’s birthday, but we are green (and blue) with envy at these oceanic eyes. Minty green and glistening aquamarine is worked both atop and under the lid with mermaid-like finesse; shimmery and teeming with light, like the sea.
Kim’s Baked Guise
Kimmy’s obviously been using her Contour Stick, displaying a rich contour on the red carpet this week. Her baked skin is teamed with a toffee lip and an interesting, very deliberate regrowth situation – sparking the question, are roots the next big thing?
Bella’s Blush and Plum Stained Lip
Beauty dreams are made of this; from the pronounced rosiness on cheeks, to her signature feline flick; a muted plum tied the whole look together with tonality; culminating in a softly blurred plum lip.
Georgia Fowler’s Golden Freckles
About to take the stage for Victoria’s Secret, Fowler made a quick sunny sojourn before heading to Shanghai. We are completely smitten with her glowy, strobed skin and smattering of summery freckles; the perfect beach skin.
Lady Gaga’s half bottom lash
Trust Gaga to blow it out of the beauty park, and this dramatic eye is everything. With lids loaded in a sheer orange (to match her strawberry blonde curls), it was le lash that proved the ultimate star. Curled and spidery on the top, the bottom lash was emphasised with drop shadow and abruptly stopped half way for ultimate impact.
Kaia Gerber’s Sultry Wing
Kaia is channelling some serious Cindy vibes, with this sexed-up rendition of a cat-eye; perfectly flicked upwards with a strong, spidery lash.
