The Victoria’s Secret Girls Arrive In NYC For Final Fittings Ahead Of 2018 Fashion Show
A perfect opportunity for a little pre-show street style
Back on its home turf of New York City this year, major excitement is building for the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (to be held on November 8). With just over a week to go, the girls that were casted back in September (you might remember seeing a plethora of excitable announcements on their Instagram stories) have been arriving at Victoria’s Secret HQ for their final fittings. And what a perfect opportunity for a little extra pre-show street style shoot.
Angels this year include Behati Prinsloo, back after a three year hiatus (and TWO babies!), Candice Swanepoel, Martha Hunt, Adriana Lima, Elsa Hosk and Taylor Hill. Australia will be well repped too with Shanina Shaik taking on the runway again for 2018.
The infectious love-and-lingerie-a-thon that is the VS show each year, is watched by millions worldwide and contributes goodness knows how much revenue to the company’s product sales. Not bad for a brand acquired by Lex Wesner from its founder in 1982 for just US$1million. It now grosses over US$12billion annually.
And if we’re trend spotting from this street style display? It seems a pair of suede thigh high boots, a furry jacket and some logo accessories are just the ticket to get the Angel look.
