Across the past couple of days, The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has liked multiple pictures of Selena Gomez dating back to 2015. While the internet has reported it as further evidence the StarBoy is completely besotted with his new girlfriend, we’re exploring a (completely speculative) different theory.
Sometimes, in the land of relationships, when things perhaps aren’t at their best or post an argument, men can take a moment to reflect on how much their girlfriends really mean to them. And, with a rolling catalogue of our finest aesthetic moments in Instagram, who hasn’t woken up to a couple of sneaky likes from their significant other scrolling late at night. Yes, perhaps there wasn’t an argument at all – and we’re purely basing this speculation on the regular guy – but it does seem strange Tesfaye was that deep (read two years ago deep) in Gomez’s feed. We’re talking hundreds of photos back. Why?
One of the photos included the night the pair met at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, another is of the Bad Liar singer in a bikini on a dock and the third a red carpet photo from the American Music Awards red carpet.
