There’s something beautiful about the picture atop this story and we’re not talking about the stunning play on rainbow lighting or sign of human solidarity. Rather it’s the newest iteration of the world’s most luxurious smartwatch that’s left heart symbols in our eyes.

After a much-hyped collaboration with the world’s coolest tech brand and its first-gen smartwatch, Hermes has unveiled a new band style that pairs with that Series 2 Apple Watch (aka the brighter, faster, water-friendlier upgrade) we’ve all heard so much about over past weeks.

The new Apple x Hermes offering adds to the existing regular cuff and brand signature doubled-wrap Cape Cod bands regularly seen on style mavens like original GRAZIA Italia It-girl Chiara Ferragni since its release over a year ago.

The latest range still offers classic wide leather strap that’s eternally on-trend, but its the new Double Buckle Cuff style shown below that’s stolen the fashion limelight. Both styles come in the existing range of colours, plus three new stunning hues it would be almost impossible to choose between: taupe, agate blue and (our current favourite) jaipur rose, aka pinky red.

Prices start at $1779 for the new range with Apple tech included, specifically the Single Tour (regular strap) band. Great news for anyone who already owns one of the smartwatches: you can now buy the Hermes straps sans watch, starting at $499 for the Single Tour band up to $749 for the Double Buckle cuff.

Will it be enough to convince Beyonce and Karl Lagerfeld to abandon 18-carat gold link bracelet Apple watches they’re both regularly snapped wearing? Karl’s certainly proved he has no qualms wearing prestigious brands other than Chanel and Fendi (he donned a Saint Laurent sequinned jacket on the runway of his Chanel Cruise 2017 show). Only time will tell…
