Tom Hiddleston has had a public profile for several years, but it’s safe to say the last few months have seen him thrust into the spotlight in a much more intense way following his relationship with one of the world’s most famous people, Taylor Swift.
What has the Emmy-nominated The Night Manager star learned from being thrown into the deep end of extreme fame? That’s what one viewer wanted to know as Tom took part in a Facebook Live interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday.
As it was Facebook Live, the 35-year-old had no choice but to quickly come up with an articulate response to the user, who commented that Tom had had a “very high profile” few months.
“We all live in a world where every phone has a camera and there’s nothing new, really, about the spotlight on me, I think that’s what happens when you’re a public figure,” he replied, only pausing to um and ah a handful of times.
“I’ve learned that there are many sides to a story, and that sometimes there are a lot of stories out there which are false and the hardest thing is to try to not let those falsehoods affect your own life, that’s what I would say.”
