Before you start picturing an haute couture runway rife with courier-chic DHL tees, think again. After the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture revealed today it had elected the label as a guest member of the July schedule, a Vetements spokesperson clarified that the show we’ll see on the couture runway will present Vetements’s Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collections for both women and men (yes that means they won’t show at the Paris fashion week schedule in October). Additionally: “The collection will involve different elements including some Vetements interpretations of couture.” We can’t wait to see how Vetements translates its recalcitrant fashion philosophy for the purposes of couture. Hand-stitched hoodies anyone? We wait with baited breath until July…
