We hate to be the bearer of bad news (and of reality), but it’s still (still!) winter. But if there’s some way to enter into the alternate universe of the Victoria’s Secret Holiday Campaign where winter looks like the below, then consider us the big chill’s numero uno fan.
To call the photos posted to social media by all 13 of the Angels a campaign “sneak peek” would be an understatement. None of the models involved have held back in bombarding their feeds.

Long-time Angel Candice Swanepoel went so far as to pre-emptively apologise in an Insta-caption, telling her 11+ million followers (that’s not including the lurkers among us): “I apologize in advance for the over posting but it’s not everyday you get to be a cowgirl”.

The Angels descended upon an $80 million ranch in the ski resort town of Aspen in Colorado for the campaign, which was shot by Transformers director and stalwart of the male gaze Michael Bay.
Decked out in lumberjill boots, cowgirl hats and crotchless chaps for warmth – we kid, there was also a smattering of heavier-duty materials like shearling and denim donned by the models (it is a winter campaign after all) – the shoot was a highly stylised Victoria’s Secret take on the Western rancher theme.

And of course, there was a wide assortment of lingerie (in terms of style, not fabric) on display. From longline lace bras in lighter shades to embellished starry ones that were festive and trendy in equal measure, there was no mistaking that the brand is first and foremost in the business of creating highly covetable second skin that caters to the tastes of just about everyone with eyes (if not good taste).
If this is what winter looks like, spring can take a hike.
