It’s been a VS season riddled in controversy. Without its star model Gigi Hadid (who, due to visa issues couldn’t make it to surely receive her “wings” like her sister Bella), the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place in Shanghai overnight. It was more conservative, less extravagant than previous years and, in addition to Hadid, was also without one star performer: Katy Perry. (The latter, too, had visa issues reportedly because she wore a Taiwanese flag during a performance in 2015.)
Still, the pink carpet that precedes the inaugural after-party was littered with (almost) just as much skin as the runway show itself. But don’t let those physiques fool you, the models (who changed into tracksuits for post photo-opp dancing) filled up on mini burgers, pizzas and lollies all while obsessing over VS veteran Alessandra Ambrosio’s daughter’s fierce dance moves.
