Taylor Swift experienced an unfortunate mid-performance malfunction on the weekend when a basket equip to carry her to another stage became stuck. Taking her Reputation stadium tour to Philadelphia on Saturday night, the singer was in the middle of performing her hit track Delicate when she got trapped in the contraption in the air. “I’m pretty sure I’m stuck up here,” she told the crowd. “It’s a nice view though.”

As several long seconds passed, Swift – with producers in her ear – attempted to explain what was going on. The thing was, while she could hear them, the only way of communicating back was for Swift to speak into the microphone.

“I feel like it’s very important to be honest with friends,” she started. “So what you just saw was me going straight up and down in this sparkly basket. It’s supposed to take me to the other side of the stadium. So I’m just going to figure out what to do next. I’m somehow going to figure out how to get over there. Will that be okay? So what happens now is basically like, I’m just chilling, waiting to figure out what happens next. I might just walk. Okay, so this is such a spoiler alert, but I have another flying thing across there that works apparently or wait, so there’s people talking in my ear. This is all so boring for you, I’m so sorry. And there’s no way for me to just talk to them so this is all just going to play out in front of you. Is there a way for me to walk or does it have to be flying?…Nobody’s saying anything.”
