While chances are most of us have never set loafer in the Ukraine, fashion’s made certain the country has visited most of our Instagram feeds of late.  That cute embroidered boho top teamed with cut-off denim on a bunch of celebs at Coachella this season? Based on the Ukrainian national blouse, called the vyshyvanka. Those cool denim or sheepskin jackets adorned with gold embroidered strips and sheepskin lining we’ve started seeing? Inspired by the same country’s traditional colourful zhupan jackets. Even the pretty flower crowns seen on countless race-goers, festival-goddesses and brides for ages now were worn first by elegant Ukrainian women centuries ago.
