In case you missed the memo, FOMO is out and self-care is in. Finally, homebodies can freely admit they’d rather stay in with Netflix and a face-mask instead of going out, without fear of being judged.
Take Lady Gaga. After the Golden Globes, where she won Best Original Song for her A Star Is Born track Shallow, Gaga made a brief, obligatory appearance at the InStyle and Warner Bros after-party before sneaking off to bed to eat cereal.
Speaking to E! News overnight, Gaga explained why she chose bed over partying:
“Nothing like a bowl of sugar and a Golden Globe, I was happy as a clam,” she said.
“For me, parties are lovely but it’s really nice to spend time with your closest friends and your family, and talk and reflect on the work.
“Because without my friends and my family, I can’t do what I do and I really love spending that quality time with them.”
