Good morning to everyone but especially Halle Berry and her glorious abs.

The 53-year-old posted a “FitnessFriday pic this week in which she revealed that one of her  main goals when readying for new movie was to get a set of ripped abs.

Mission accomplished: in her post-training shot she lifts her top up to reveal her muscled stomach, glistening with sweat.

What is your fitness goal? Set the BAR higher than you think, share your goal in the comments and HOLD yourself to it,” Berry encouraged her followers. “The work won’t be easy, but that pay off? Worth every damn second. In the meantime, head to stories for my #BruisedTheMovie workout, courtesy of my performance coach @mubarakmalik, aka “Bar” and put that inner-warrior to the test! Happy Friday! ♥️”

In the stories you can see Berry and her trainer Mubarak Malik go through some exercises, and she also helps spruik his sports drink, Drink Barcode.

Malik says Berry has been training four hours a day and intermittent fasting for the role. “She’s inspiring me,” he says. “I thought I’d gotten to a certain level… but she inspires me every day. I’m honoured.”

Turns out Malik is also the head performance coach for the New York Knicks and has also trained Hugh Jackman.

His girlfriend, model Ashley Ross, also looks unreasonably good in a duct tape bikini, no doubt thanks to Malik’s top training tips. Together they are quite the fitspiration.

But back to Berry, who will star in upcoming movie Bruised about a disgraced MMA fighter who has to work her way back to the top. Berry will also make her directorial debut with the feature. The actor has been posting #FitnessFridays for a while now, each week highlighting a different trainer who has been helping her achieve her fitness goals.

Other featured trainers include Peter Lee Thomas (thanks, Halle)

and pro fighter Jennifer Dugwen Chieng. And Berry posts plenty of mind food content too, with her regular #SelfCareSunday posts, recommending books and sharing inspirational quotes.

Basically, she’s a woman worth following on and off social media and we can’t wait to see the fruits of all her hard work in Bruised
