An interactive, four-step, online tool, the Foundation Match asks customers a series of questions based on their skin type and preferred finish, formula and coverage to generate their perfect, bespoke foundation.
First up, your coverage levels; everyone from full-facers to the nearly-nude are covered. Next, your desired finish. Choose from dialled-up dew to muted matte and everything in between. Then, formulation. Love a liquid? Done. Prefer a powder? Go for it. Crave a cream? It’s all yours. And finally, your skin type – oily, combination or dry? It’s easier than ordering UberEats.
With 109 foundations from 28 brands in 1,553 shades to choose from, they have taken the guesswork (and stress) out of finding the foundation that is right for you. Each question in the tool is closely aligned with the Mecca in-store experience, so that customers obtain the best possible foundation recommendations like they would inside thy hallowed beauty walls.
Once the recommendation has been made, customers can then use the “Findation” (get it?) widget on the product page to find their perfect match.
